Between 2014 and 2017, McClodden revived the work of deceased Black queer artists who were active during the 1980s AIDS epidemic, including the poet and activist Essex Hemphill. Here, McClodden remakes a scene from Marlon Riggs’s essay-film Tongues Untied (1989), in which Hemphill recites a passage from writer Audre Lorde’s Sister Outsider: Essays and Speeches (1984). McClodden describes the video as “a portrait of self-contained conflict and rage,” with Hemphill gazing directly into the camera. Conceived as a “duet” between Hemphill and Lorde, it also underscores Hemphill’s commitment to Black feminist thought, highlighting the transfer of language and influence from one poet-activist to another. Liz Montague first emailed The New Yorker’s cartoon editor out of frustration that all of the illustrations featured white subjects. She began contributing to the magazine in 2019 and became the first Black, female cartoonist in The New Yorker’s near century run. Montague’s cartoons push the publication’s boundaries through focussing on the intersection of self and social awareness in an accessible style with clean lines and representative subjects. Montague sketches a world in which Black women are the main characters.

Combining elements of magical realism and music video, this film portrays an imagined experience based on autobiographical events. “Jeongseon Arirang,” a Korean anthem, energizes the tranquil imagery of Kentucky landscapes. Meditating on fluidity and oneness in space, "state of being" envisions a reconciliation of disparate cultural realities.

It has become commonplace: fools and roads are Russia's main disaster. Clever, but petty. We must finally look at the root of all evil. The first age-old trouble is power. The second, equal in size, is the people.

The 19th of September of 2021 the volcanic ridge of Cumbre Vieja, on the island of La Palma started erupting. This eruption lasted until the 13th of December of 2021. Lucía and two other filmmakers decided to travel and register the volcano. This is the journal of the first two days, based on the camera errors and casual conversations that were on the footage: Bad focus, being sleepy, journalists not knowing how to name the eruption, instagram, the crunch of Pringles fries, glutamato monosodico, the radio fluctuating between Prince and Elvis, selfies with the volcano, plans for illegal stuff and the seconds before a final system error.

About 500,000 Koreans reside in the former Soviet Union. Most of their ancestors were forced to flee during the Japanese occupation / annexation (1910-1945). The name they gave themselves is Koryo-saram. Their language, Koryo-mar, is descended from the Hamgyöng dialect (province of North Korea) and many other variants of Northeast Korean. The documentary sets up a multi-voice narrative characterized by shamanic rituals, digital glitches, voiceovers, texts and sound panoramas. At the same time inter-subjective and deeply personal, the film recounts migration, the diaspora and death with humor and lightness.

This is my fifth time coming back to my own village, where I was born and brought up. After I graduated from college, when I was staying in my village, I was always suspected and judged by the village people. Xizhu grandpa was called ‘fool’ by other villagers, and Zengxiang aunty was looked down by others. They come into my life, and I stayed with them. Their naïve and strange thought made think about my village in a new way. In this quite ‘normal’ village, who are normal people? In those normal people’s eyes, am I another fool of this village?

Fields of Grain, 1984 – ongoing project/ sound:.For twenty years I have collected 16mm footage from travels around the US: a ride down the Cuyahoga River, shots of Civil War battlefields, walks through fields of growing flowers, grain and fruit, water systems, rail
systems, malls and parades, and kudzu growth in Mississippi. This project mixes traditions of landscape cinema with improvisational real-time editing and digital to analog “glitches” to make transparent an archiving and representation process, my own road movie archive.
