The Berezinsky Biosphere Reserve in Belarus is an undisturbed realm in the southern taiga. Extensive swamps, a complex river system, and numerous lakes bear witness to the glaciers that once covered the area. It is unique because it contains so many different types of natural swamps. The "Big Five" of European wildlife live here in one place: bear, wolf, lynx, bison, and elk. And the black grouse, which has become extremely rare in Europe, gathers here every April for mating season. It is an extraordinary spectacle when the imposing blue-black black grouses make their courtship calls in the swamps. Those who immerse themselves in the world of the Berezinsky Biosphere Reserve gain an incomparable insight into the vast mosaic of floodplain forests, lakes, and acidic peat bogs.

Eduardo and Mônica were an unlikely couple — he, a dreamy teenager; she, an experienced woman of the world. They met by chance, and somehow, their differences became a rhythm they learned to dance to. She introduced him to art, wine, and foreign films; he brought laughter, spontaneity, and love notes on napkins. Their days were filled with jazz, philosophy, and late-night talks. On paper, they didn’t match, but their souls did. In a world that demands logic, their love was pure poetry — imperfect, unexpected, unforgettable.

This new instalment of Angela's Diaries concludes the trilogy dedicated to the late Angela Ricci Lucchi, with whom Yervant Gianikian made all his films, which recount man's violence against nature, animals and humanity itself. Lucrezia Lerro sensitively reads Angela's diary about her illness, giving voice to her intimate writing and to the dense poetics of the painful passages that seem to be paced at the rate of her heartbeats, word after word, as she desperately tries to overcome her illness. Themes include the war, Angela's political work and the promise made to her to continue working.
