Poster for Bogre. The Great European Heresy

2021 · ★ 0.0 (0)

Bogre is a journey into time and space, on the trail of Cathars, Albigenses and Bogomils, medieval heretics who spread from Bulgaria to the European West. Why Bogre? Those who speak the Occitan language know that bogre (pronounced “bugre”) means Bulgarian, but over the centuries that word has acquired the meaning of foolish, the one who masks the truth. In the 12 th century, bogre became an insult directed towards the Occitan Cathars, who were equated to the Bulgarian Bogomils, from whom the Western Catharism derived. The followers of these heretical teachings called each other “good people” and “good christians” because they believed they were returning christianity to its original purity. Their ideas traveled the length and breadth of Europe, from the Balkans to the Pyrenees, from center-northern Italy to Bosnia.

Poster for On The Left

2018 · ★ 0.0 (0)

"On The Left" it's a memory of my childhood frozen in my mind; that passed outside of my house, in the Municipality of Sopó, Cundinamarca (Colombia), and tells some experiences that I lived with a man who had most monster face than human. "... I discovered that when I was little I could talk to objects." And it's to my nightstand that I decided to tell this story. What I could not say in words at some time, but I shouted with time, now asks to be brought to light... I'm left-handed, but I wrote this story with my eyes.

Poster for Danse Chronophotographique

2007 · ★ 0.0 (0)

We knew in which direction to go and more or less where to arrive, although our itinerary would have undoubtedly had to vary according to the conditions at the time of the trip. We knew what time to leave. We knew that on this line, by definition of infinite dimension, there was a meaning to be found. We knew who to call on in case of need (Etienne-Jules Marey, Marcel Duchamp, Loïe Füller). The rest did not yet exist. A line serves as the basis for weaving a complex and unexpected relationship between film and dance, or between film and skin; between the body of the film, the essence of the movement and the sound environment it creates or which creates it; between magnetic field, sweat and ether technology. In search of today's magic, these trajectories are presented as tests between the chemical and the chimerical, full of abstraction but above all concretely present in the moment of their construction.

"The conceptual and minimalist aesthetic seen in this film refers to the more complex metaphysical and alchemical transformations which occur when silver is exposed to tungsten light. These currents of light, like Daniel Burren's striped conceptual art, refer to the basic nature of representation while attempting to resist and transform traditional viewing habits or consumption. 'Current' is a beautiful meditation on these realities." - Maria Insell
