Most of the Egyptians keep a lot of old stuff in the corners of their balconies, and inside the houses there are many invisible corners cluttered with such unused stuff. This phenomenon is so common in all the Egyptians houses to the extent that it became a part of the nature and features of the Egyptian house. The film offers an exciting experience by letting us have a closer look inside the houses of a number of Egyptian families. The Director's lens traces the places where the Egyptians stack their old stuff or as they call it "karakib", trying to figure out "Why do Egyptians keep their old stuff."

As an unwavering natural force, Maj Wechselmann produces at least one film a year, which is guaranteed to show troublesome connections between established power structures and maladjustments for people further down the hierarchy of society; this time through the Swedish Television photographer Claes-Göran Bjernér's fascinating fate of life. Bjernér, who reported from 23 wars in 83 countries, had his lungs injured for life in the poison gas disaster in Bhopal, India in 1984. The film begins with him almost dying several times, but miraculously returning to life. In interviews and archival photos, he shares his unique first-hand experiences of war, violence and corruption. A glowing agitation to never stop demanding responsibility for the world's tragedies.

In a unique project, a limited number of inmates can participate in a therapeutic circle in order to understand the mental and social conditions of their behavior. Even after being released from prison, former inmates are supported by psychologists and social workers. What is remarkable in the process: the inmates learn to support each other and to open up toward the experiences of others.

"My MFA thesis work Grace, was in part conceptually inspired by the French philosopher Henri Bergson’s theories of Time as fractionate and infinitesimal. The structural concerns of Grace were pursuing questions of fractured, invisible time and representations of form and motion. The deeper and more personal subject pursued issues of flesh, mortality, and sexuality. Visual inspirations included artists such as photographers Julia Margaret Cameron, Joel Peter Witkin, and artist Joseph Beuys. I worked with an actress, optical printing, projection, under-the-camera, and stop-motion animation."-Lorelei Pepi
