No Place, set in King's Cross, London, represents the point of view of a woman (Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz grown up into Judy from Hitchcock's classic Vertigo) looking back, from the apparent sanctuary of a church, contrasting her memories of the countryside with a loss of innocence, and of childhood illusions, following her arrival in the Emerald City. An elusive collage of real and fictional characters who all live in a kind of temporary limbo a long way from home but still looking for a sense of belonging.

Within one image, another one is always hiding. Wordless and using only archive footage, "Still Life" aims to rediscover and delve into the opacity of images (news, war footage, propaganda documentaries, photos of political prisoners and never seen before rushes) made during the 48 years (1926-1974) of Portuguese dictatorship in order to foster new interpretations.

As a Bauhaus photographer, Lucia Moholy (1894-1989) was a pioneer of New Objectivity. Her husband László Moholy-Nagy was appointed to the Bauhaus in 1923. They worked there together and László became famous as the inventor of the photogram, a photo without film. Lucia's contribution to this only became known later. When the Czech-born Jew was forced to leave Germany in 1933 after the Nazis seized power, she was unable to take her most important possession, her glass negatives, with her. She struggled to keep her head above water in London and worked for the British secret service on the microfilming of valuable documents. With her vision of microfilm as freely accessible information for all, she is now regarded as a pioneer of the Internet. After the war, Lucia set out in search of her glass negatives.

Amid laughter and companionship, a group of gypsy women improvise sequences in a room at the Otxarkoaga Civic Centre. The soft morning light filters through the purple curtains, while one of them dissects a film about a group of gypsy women at a performance workshop. Reality and fiction merge. Playfulness, fun, empowerment and sisterhood all combine in this documentary, intended as a love letter to the gypsy women of the Basque Country. A bridge, a joyful song and hands clapping in the wind, reminding us that stories (even if improvised and invented) are what we need to bring different people together.

Looking at the paranormal phenomenon of telepathic communication, this video investigates the social group of New Agers who are involved in working with animals. Following an interspecies telepathic communicator, Dawn Hayman from Spring Farm CARES, an animal sanctuary in upstate New York, the filmmaker uses herself as a protagonist to look at this complex examination of our relationship to “nature,” and develops a particular empathy for the animals in the end.
